Situated in the Campsie Hills, 20 miles north of Glasgow and 15 miles south-west of Stirling, Highland Trout offers the perfect opportunity for trout anglers to tackle the multitude of fabulous fisheries that Central Scotland has to offer.
Based in the picturesque village of Fintry, on the banks of the River Endrick, Highland Trout is a complete angling service, for anglers, run by anglers.
The head guide, Jim Quigley has been a trout angler for more than fifty years. Jim grew up fishing the waters he now guides on and his local knowledge of these waters is second to none. For the past twenty five years, he has mounted annual expeditions to fish in Sutherland, in the Scottish Highlands, amassing invaluable knowledge of the world class, wild brown trout fishing in the hundreds of lochs in the Badenloch and Lochinver areas.
An accomplished artist and teacher, Jim is an expert fly-dresser who regularly mans the fly tying table on the Salmon and Trout Association stand at Scottish game and fishing fairs.
When he is not guiding he can usually be found fishing the nearest river or loch for anything that swims.
